Enhancement on Justice Online: Lapisia of Syeeric and Justice Stones

Enhancement adds a + level to a piece of equipment. On a weapon each step adds attack power; on armor it adds absorption, the defense that reduces every hit you take. Justice Online keeps a fixed enhancement ceiling on purpose, so equipment does not inflate into the very high upgrade levels of later Shaiya episodes.

What an attempt costs

Each attempt happens at the Blacksmith and needs two things: a Lapisia for the item type, Power Lapisia of Syeeric for weapons or Defense Lapisia of Syeeric for armor, and a Justice Stone as the catalyst, of Weapon or of Armor. One stone is consumed on every attempt. Both materials drop from monsters, and the item tooltip shows which stone a piece needs. A Lapisia of Syeeric does not destroy the item on failure; other kinds of Lapisia say in their tooltip when they do.

Spend materials with a plan

The first steps almost always succeed, the chance falls quickly from the middle of the scale, and the last steps are rare successes. Do not push leveling gear past the easy steps, take every piece you keep through those steps first, and decide in advance how much you are willing to spend on the final ones.
