Light or Fury? Your First Big Choice in Shaiya

Before choosing a weapon or learning a spell in Shaiya, you choose a faction. The Alliance of Light brings together Humans and Elves; the Union of Fury is home to Nordein (Deatheaters) and Vail. Each side has six classes and its own starting areas. The choice shapes who your allies are and whom you may face in faction PvP.

The same roles, different faces

Both sides can form a balanced party. A Light Fighter has the same general combat role as a Fury Warrior, while Priest and Oracle cover healing on their respective sides. You are not locked out of tanking, dealing damage or supporting your group just because you prefer one faction's look.

How should a newcomer decide?

Start with the people you want to play alongside. If your friends have chosen a faction, coordinating before you create a character is easier than splitting your group. Otherwise, compare the races, class names and visual style.
