Lapis and Linking Guide

Where most of a character’s power comes from

Lapis are gems that you link into the slots of weapons, armor and accessories. A well-linked set is the difference between a character that only has the level and one that wins fights. This guide explains slots, the kinds of lapis found on Justice Online, how linking works and how to avoid losing an item.

Slots come first

Every lapis needs a free slot, and the number of slots is fixed when the item drops. That makes slot count one of the main things that give equipment its value. While leveling, wear whatever you find; link your good lapis only into equipment you intend to keep.

Kinds of lapis

How linking works

Linking is done at the Blacksmith, and you can open that window from the inventory shortcuts. Every link has a chance to fail, set by the lapis: basic lapis link easily, rare and high-level lapis do not. A failed link consumes the lapis.

Some lapis carry a warning in their description: accessory lapis and the speed lapis can break the item itself when the link fails. Read the tooltip before you link.

Hammers and the Lucky Charm

Where to find lapis

Lapis and both hammers drop from monsters and bosses. Select a monster in game and open its drop list, or search the Drop Finder on this website, to see what a monster drops before you spend time on it.
